Rich Walsh is a reporter for Channel 11 Sports.

Rich arrived at Channel 11 in August 2005, but had previously worked for the station as a sports producer and intern. He is a native of Pittsburgh, a graduate of Penn Hills High School, and has a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Pittsburgh.

Before joining the Channel 11 sports team, Rich was a sports anchor for WTRF in Wheeling, W.Va., and a producer for Fox Sports Net Pittsburgh. Along with reporting sports, Rich runs and is an avid golfer.

As a reporter for Channel 11, Rich covered Sidney Crosby’s first game as a Pittsburgh Penguin, and considers this his most memorable story.

His proudest achievement is getting to work in Pittsburgh at Channel 11.

“This is one of the greatest jobs,” Rich says, “and it’s even better to get to do it in my hometown.”
