A native of Philadelphia and the eldest of four children, Marc is a strong advocate of education.
Marc attended Morgan State University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy, with a minor in chemistry. After college, Marc attended Temple University, where he earned a Master’s Degree in journalism, public relations and advertising.
In addition to his traditional university education, Marc was trained in the United States Navy where he served and obtained a degree as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. He started his career in News at WRDW News 12 in Augusta, Ga. He then moved to Greenville, S.C., where he worked as a reporter for WYFF News 4.
Leading by example, in his life and in his work, Marc is a strong supporter of Duquesne University’s Career Literacy for African American Youth Program. In addition, Marc is a proud member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and the National Association of Black Journalists.
Marc feels the most memorable stories he’s worked on are the 2005 U.S. apology to blacks for failing to enact federal anti-lynching legislation decades ago, and the national coverage of the floods in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. More recently in 2006, as a Channel 11 News reporter, Marc covered the Amish school shooting in Lancaster, PA.
Marc was recently awarded for his achievements by receiving the 2005 RTNDA Michele M. Clark Fellowship Award.
