Stuart arrived at Channel 11 in December of 1980. A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Stuart earned a Bachelor's of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania. He started his career working in news radio and on a newspaper, in Philadelphia. From there Stuart worked for KDKA-TV and the Post-Gazette in Pittsburgh. He is married and has two sons.
Stuart has earned a Golden Quill Award for "Best Spot News", an Associated Press Award, a Matrix Award, and several others. He has covered many notable events in history, including reaction to the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr. Stuart feels the most memorable story was the Yablonski murder case and the resulting trials.
Stuart's proudest career achievement is his coverage of the Yablonski case, and the book he wrote about it, "
A Man Named Tony: The True Story of the Yablonski Murders."
Stuart says, "I enjoy meeting people and answering their questions about how we do our job." He adds, "I'm never completely satisfied with my work. One can always do better."
