Bob Bruce is co-anchor for Channel 11 Morning News with Newlin Archinal, and anchors Channel 11 News at Noon. He hosts the WPXI-TV community affairs program, Talkin' Pittsburgh. Bob also anchors Pittsburgh This Morning on PCNC.

Bob joined Channel 11 in August of 1996. A native of Memphis, Tennessee, Bob studied radio, television, and film at the University of Memphis. His career in radio started in 1972. Bob worked as a news anchor for KSAZ-TV in Phoenix, Arizona, and KFOR-TV in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was a news anchor and talk show host for KSTP-TV in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His career has also taken him to Dallas, Texas, and Omaha, Nebraska, and includes years as a sportscaster. Bob is married with a son and a daughter.

Bob has won several awards for his work in television, including an Emmy Award for "Best Live Reporting", a UPI sports casting award, and a Golden Quill for traveling to Italy with former Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge. He participates in many community events and charities, including St. Barnabas and the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Stories Bob considers most memorable include the Oklahoma City bombing, the Sarajevo Olympics, and covering the defection of a hockey player from a communist country.

Bob quotes Harry Truman: "The only thing new in the world is the history we don't know." Bob adds, "As a student of history, you can add more perspective to today's news."
