Katherine Amenta is a co-anchor of Channel 11 Morning News.
In 2015, she won a Mid-Atlantic Emmy for coverage of the Franklin Regional High School stabbings. Her investigative and enterprise reporting has received several Emmy nominations since 2006 and she was a frequent winner of Maryland Associated Press awards.
She is a Philadelphia native and a graduate of the (National Champion!) Villanova University.
Katherine got her start in television as an associate producer at Comcast SportsNet in Philadelphia and as an anchor/reporter at WMDT in Salisbury, Maryland. Before joining WPXI, Katherine was a morning news anchor at NewsChannel 8 in Washington, D.C.
In her free time she enjoys going to Pirates games and spending time with her big Italian family!
