PITTSBURGH -- This weekend, PennDOT will close all lanes of the Parkway East outbound at the Churchill Interchange. All traffic will be detoured.

In addition, several ramp closures and restrictions are scheduled. The Wilkinsburg on-ramps to the outbound Parkway East will close at 9 p.m. Friday and will remain closed through late August.

Outbound lane closures begin at 9 p.m. on Friday and continue around the clock through 4 p.m. on Sunday. There will also be a single lane traffic pattern from Edgewood Swissvale to the closure point at the Churchill Interchange.

Outbound traffic will be forced to exit at the Greensburg Pike interchange and will be directed to use Penn Avenue for the short detour back onto the Parkway East at the Monroeville interchange. Signs will be posted and police will assist with traffic movements. Once traffic renters the outbound Parkway East, all lanes will fully reopen.
