Familiar Work Zones To Affect Traffic This Weekend

PITTSBURGH -- As crews continue to work against fall deadlines, several familiar projects will restrict traffic this weekend.Overhead sign structure work will take place overnight Friday into Saturday along the Parkway West between Interstate 79 and the Fort Pitt Tunnels and along the Parkway East between downtown and the Pennsylvania Turnpike.Parkway North single-lane restrictions will be set up in both directions 6 a.m. through 6 p.m. Saturday between I-79 and the Bellevue/West View area.Three different ramp restrictions will create detours around the Fort Duquesne Bridge. The ramp from the 10th Street Bypass remains closed until Wednesday, Nov. 25.The ramp from Fort Duquesne Boulevard to the outbound deck will be closed from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday. On Saturday morning crews will work on the outbound ramp to Route 65 northbound.The outbound Liberty Tunnel will be down to a single lane midnight through 7 a.m. Saturday.There will be a full closure of the McKees Rocks Bridge midnight Friday through 6 a.m. Monday. Traffic will detour across the West End Bridge.Route 910 will be closed in the westbound direction between Route 28 and Locust Hill Road Friday night through Monday morning.
