Daredevils compete in horn sledging race

Germans in the town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen have done this for decades. The game is called hornschlitten, or horn sledging, which in North America is known as sledding. The name of the competition comes from the shape of the sledge, modeled after the horn of a mountain goat. Daredevils in teams of four speed down the one kilometer, or 0.6 mile track. This year 90 teams registered for the annual championship which started out as a local tradition.
