Slick Roads Cause Multiple Pile Ups in U.S. Midwest

A multi-vehicle pile up on a Detroit, Michigan freeway. Two people were killed and more than a dozen injured in the crash when white-out wintery weather caused treacherous conditions. Several people, including children, were taken to hospitals with various injuries, most complaining of back, neck and head pains. Later in the day, an Indiana interstate was closed in both directions following another pileup involving more than 40 vehicles.
