Bitter cold wind chills expected Thursday morning, rain on its way

PITTSBURGH — Kids will be shivering at the bus stop early Thursday as temperatures dip into the low-to-mid-teens.

Heads and hands will need to be covered, especially if they'll be outdoors for more than 15-20 minutes.

The walk home from the bus stop after school will be better, with temperatures set to climb above freezing.

Most of your Friday will be dry, but wet weather moves in late day, and with just two shopping weekends left before Christmas, you'll want to plan ahead.

Periods of rain will be steady at times Saturday, making it hard to stay dry on the walk from the store to your car.

Colder air will wrap in behind the storm early Sunday, changing rain to snow showers.
