A narrow band of moderate to heavy snow fell in some areas early Monday, covering roads and prompting hundreds of school delays.

It did not snow everywhere, but where it did, up to 2 inches were possible by the time showers came to an end.

The heaviest snow was centered on Allegheny and Armstrong counties, and points south and east. Drastically changing weather conditions occurred in those area.
Snow was gone by mid-morning from the entire area, with plenty of sunshine expected Monday afternoon.
