The wintry weather slowed morning driving times and caused a few accidents on area roadways.

In McKees Rocks, a driver was taken to a hospital after a car became wedged between a pole and a retaining wall on Churchill Street. Meanwhile, traffic was backed up on Interstate 79 south during the morning commute.

Winter weather and freezing rain advisories across the area have been cancelled.

As road temperatures warmed above freezing Tuesday afternoon, icing stopped across the area. Rain showers will linger for the evening commute and into the overnight hours.

The steadiest precipitation will be north of Pittsburgh along the Interstate 80 corridor.
