Frost advisory, frost warning issued for much of the area overnight

PITTSBURGH — Clearing skies and less wind could set the stage for a frosty start Thursday morning.

A Frost Advisory has been issued for Allegheny, Beaver, Washington, Westmoreland, Greene and Fayette counties; and a Freeze Warning has been issued for Indiana, the ridges of Westmoreland and Fayette, Jefferson, Forest and Garrett, Maryland.

Temperatures are forecast to fall into the lower 30s which can damage sensitive plants. Daytime highs Thursday will average about 10-15 degrees below average under partly sunny skies.

We'll see a brief rebound into the mid 50s Friday and Saturday, but rain showers will impact your plans.

Plan for wet weather late Friday afternoon/ evening into the day Saturday.
