Hannah Paczkowski: Greetings!

Summer Web Interns 2012
Hannah Paczkowski

Greetings from the Hawkeye state! I am excited to be interning at WPXI this summer. Let me first have the chance to introduce myself.

I’m Hannah Paczkowski (Putch-kuss-ki), and I reign from the cornfields of Des Moines, IA.

Though I was not born and raised in Steel City, I still sport black and yellow. The Pirates, Steelers and Pens are cool, but my heart belongs to the Big Ten team in the heart of America -- that’s right, the Iowa Hawkeyes.

A question I get nine times out of 10 when I say I’m from Iowa is, “Why are you here?”  I go to Westminster College in New Wilmington. Not only is it an excellent school for aspiring broadcasters, but it’s also a small community of students who support one another.

As a senior this fall, I am taking every opportunity to get onto the track to success. Among many other campus organizations, I am currently the Editor-In-Chief of our student newspaper “The Holcad," anchor/reporter/crew member of the magazine television broadcast “The County Line” and a proud sister of Zeta Tau Alpha.

Needless to say, I am ready for a summer of fun and relaxation as well as doing something I love -- broadcasting. When I’m not reporting the news or covering events in the Pittsburgh area, I will be working for White House Black Market at the Grove City Outlets or working on my summer sun-kissed look on the shore of Lake Brittain at Westminster College.
