Former CalU football player found shot to death inside car

STOWE TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Sharod Lindsey’s family never thought they would be planning a funeral for the Central Catholic graduate and former California University of Pennsylvania (CalU) football player.

But, that’s exactly what the Lindsey family is doing, after Sharod was found dead in his car in an alley in Stowe Township.

“If you have any heart, please turn yourself in. We just want to know why you did it,” John Dupee, Sharod’s father, told Channel 11.

“He was a good kid. He had a loving heart. He did anything for anyone,” Dupee added.

His family says on Saturday night, Sharod went out for a Thanksgiving get together, and never came home.

He was shot multiple times, and his family has many unanswered questions.

“He just didn’t deserve this at all. I don’t know why he was targeted. Justice will be served. It’s going to come out,” Sharod’s sister, Shatoya Lindsey said.

Sharod was the father to a little girl, and was taking time off from CalU to work so he could financially support his family. The last time the family saw him was on Thanksgiving Day, when they had no idea they were saying their last goodbyes.

“We hugged each other, and he said ‘love you sis.’ I said, ‘love you too, be careful,” Shatoya said.

There is a GoFundMe to help the family with funeral expenses. If you would like to donate, the link can be found HERE.
