Grandmother of victim speaks out after 3 people shot in McKeesport

MCKEESPORT, Pa. — Three people are expected to survive after being shot at a home on Pirl Street in McKeesport.

Channel 11 spoke exclusively with a woman who not only lives next door in the duplex, but is the grandmother of one of the victims.

“They were arguing back and forth,” she said. “[Then] they shot up our house.”

Osceola Sanders heard and saw what happened. She says multiple people came back to the house after the argument and fired shots.

“I am horrified. I’ve been out here for years. I had a thing where kids had to make me lock my doors. That’s how peaceful it was,” Sanders said. “I just want to let you young folks know I ain’t scared.”

Donna Betts was nearby at her mother’s house when she heard the gunshots.

“I was sitting in my mom’s living room with my kids and I thought it was a BB gun going off,” she said.

While the prognosis is good for the shooting victims, Sanders says she’s not happy with the way things have gone in the community.

“It just shows they have no fear of God. Because the Word of God says ‘such not my anointed.’ Trust me, the wrath of God is coming down on this.”

Sanders also told us a baby was inside the house but was not hurt. The child is staying with other family members.

Police have not named a suspect in this case.
