Temps remain low, snow chances return Thursday night

PITTSBURGH — Snow chances return this evening and will continue into Friday. Less than an inch of snow is expected in most of the area with an inch or two possible south of I-70 and a few inches of snow in the mountains. The weekend looks quiet, but cold.

After the system that will bring snow tonight moves through, cooler air will settle into the area. Highs will go from the lower 30s this afternoon, to the upper 20s tomorrow, then the teens Saturday.

Warmer air elevates temperatures at the start of next week. We return to the 30s Monday and 40s Tuesday.
