Joe came to the Steel City after working five years as a news anchor and reporter at WIVB in Buffalo. Prior to that, he worked in Shreveport, La., Washington, D.C., and Bluefield, W.Va.
Joe attended Syracuse University.
A handful of traffic circles have popped up places like Pittsburgh’s Highland Park neighborhood to slow down drivers. Some in the area say the streets are too narrow and the new pattern will cause an accident. Others are in favor, saying walking and biking in those areas is now much safer.
The discussion of merging a handful of Pittsburgh Catholic schools, including Saint Margaret of Scotland in Green Tree and Saint Philip Catholic School in Crafton, has been on the table since early February. An appeal filed less than a month ago by parents against the merger of the two schools was denied by the Diocese of Pittsburgh Wednesday.
