Sports Biz Camps provided virtual Career Exploration Camp to students

PITTSBURGH — 11 Cares partner Dollar Bank partnered with Sports Biz Camps for a virtual Sports Career Exploration Camp July 14-17.

The 4-day program provided campers a mix of live presentations, panel discussions and recorded lessons with professionals from the country’s leading sports organizations.

“The goal of our program is to introduce high school students to sports business professionals and create more exposure to the variety of careers that the sports industry has to offer,” said Vincent Pierson, Principal Strategist, Diversity & Inclusion at Sports Biz Camps. “Shifting this experience to the virtual space this summer has allowed us to engage more industry leaders and students all over the country. We’re excited for this summer’s program, but even more excited for the opportunities this will create for our campers.”

Through generous charitable contributions received from hundreds of individuals, foundations, and corporate donors, high school-aged campers attended the sessions for free, leveling the playing field for students to learn and network with industry professionals before embarking on a career in the sports industry.
