Fans of the soap opera "Days of Our Lives" can rest easy.
Despite reports that the entire cast of the long-running show was released from their contracts earlier this month, the show has been renewed for its 56th season, multiple media outlets are reporting.

Corday Productions told the cast Thursday the show will be coming back, Entertainment Weekly reported.
The deal has not been finalized but is expected to be done soon, Variety reported.
The show has eight months' worth of episodes already done and the crew and actors will be on the break at the end of the month, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
"Days of Our Lives" is one of only four daytime soap operas still on the air, according to THR.
