Want the 411 on the 412? “Access Pittsburgh” has you covered with top stories:

NEW MOUNT WASHINGTON TOURIST ATTRACTION?

As Pittsbughers, we know that the incline that goes up Mount Washington gives some of the best views of the city, but there may be a new way to catch sweeping views ... A Mount Washington zip line.

The venture hopes to draw in tourists to hurtle down the mountain and across the river on the zip line.

A Plan has not been officially put in place, but Pittsburgh Zipline Co. will present a plan at the end of the month to the Mount Washington Community Development Corporation.

Kennywood is OPEN!

One of Pittsburgh’s most-loved summer attractions is back!

Kennywood Park opened to season pass holders on Friday, but if you could swing a pass you are in luck!

The park is set to open its doors to the public on Monday July 13 -- with big changes.

Kennywood officials said there will be several new changes to adhere to the health department’s guidelines, including:

  • Limiting Capacity
  • Pre-Entry Temperature Checks
  • Face Coverings and Personal Protective Equipment
  • Social Distancing
  • Adding Sanitizing Stations
  • Enhancing Cleaning Measures
  • Educating Guests & Team Members

BIG BEN WELCOMES 7 PUPPIES

Cuteness alert!

Ben Rothlisberger’s dog, Dakota, gave birth to a litter of - fittingly - seven puppies!

The Steelers quarterback took to twitter Monday to welcome the adorable new members of the family.

RIVERHOUNDS BE FIRST PITTSBURGH PRO SPORTS TEAM BACK ON FIELD

The Riverhounds season opener will mark the first professional Pittsburgh sporting game in over 100 days!

The soccer team is set to get the ball rolling Sunday, July 11.

To make things better, they will get national exposure as they open on the road against Louisville City FC when it is televised on ESPN2 at 5 p.m.

BASEBALL AND HOCKEY MAKING STRIDES TO PLAY BY END OF THE MONTH

Get ready to “raise it” because Pirates baseball is back -- Almost!

Major League Baseball released its plan of a 60-game season, and the Pirates will start theirs on July 24 with a three-game away series against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Then, let’s go Pens!

The NHL updated its “return to play plan” with a Phase 3 and Phase 4.

Phase 3, being full training camps, has the Penguins scheduled to hit the ice on July 13 at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry TWP.

If all goes according to plan, Phase 4 will begin July 26 as the NHL moves playoff teams into the “hub” cities where playoffs will begin (hopefully) by August 1.

For the Penguins, that will mean their best-of-5 series against the Montreal Canadiens.
