'Law & Order: SVU’ : Ice T, Jamie Gray Hyder discuss monumental season 22

“Law & Order: SVU” is officially back in NBC’s Thursday night lineup! To make things more exciting, See and Be Seen sat down with two of the stars, Ice T (Sergeant Fin Tutuola) and Jamie Gray Hyder (Kat Azar Tamin), who not only recognized the Pittsburgh Steelers undefeated 8-0 record, but dished on the new season and what changes we will see.

SVU is no stranger to pulling stories from the headlines and diving into real-life issues. Hyder and Ice talked about their roles, and how their characters will navigate through the pandemic and the national movement for racial equality and justice.

Through Fin, we’ll see the internal conflict of a Black man who is a police officer. For Kat, she represents a younger generation of law enforcement pushing to enact change and progress within the system.

The hit show is entering its 22nd season, making it the longest-running primetime drama in the history of American television.
