• Brett Keisel honors Children's Hospital patients with medals to celebrate upcoming walk

    Updated:
PITTSBURGH - Retired Steelers defensive end Brett Keisel was at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC Wednesday to honor patients with medals to celebrate the hospital’s first-ever Walk for Children's.

The Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation will host the first-ever Walk for Children's, a 5K walk and patient champion parade, at Flagstaff Hill in Schenley Park on June 4. The walk will celebrate the culmination of the 125th anniversary year of Children's Hospital.

A spokesperson for the hospital said since all patients at Children's are champions, the medal ceremony allowed the hospital to honor those patients who may be unable to attend the June 4 walk.
