PITTSBURGH — Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf announced today that $20 million in federal grant funding is now available for museums and cultural organizations throughout the state that may have lost revenue because of the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent shutdown order. The funding comes as part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, also known as the CARES Act, which was signed into law in March.

The minimum grant funding that museums and cultural organizations can apply for is $25,000 and carries a maximum allocation of $500,000. Funds from these grants cannot be used to offset losses in revenue from philanthropic or federal, state and local government sources, however.
