Big 10 Conference votes to cancel fall sports, hopes to play in spring

PITTSBURGH — Could Big Ten universities like Penn State end up playing football this fall after all?

As reports swirl again about a possible October start to the season – only a month after the Big Ten made the decision to shelve the fall season – Rebecca Blank, chancellor of the University of Wisconsin system, said on Monday “there are a variety of things that have changed since we last made that decision.”

Blank called a Sunday meeting among Big Ten presidents and chancellors “a very good discussion.”
