New Japanese-Mexican fusion restaurant set to open soon in Bakery Square

PITTSBURGH — Downtown Japanese-Mexican fusion restaurant, tako, is set to open its second location in East Liberty’s Bakery Square.

The opening is planned for Oct. 14.

The addition of a second location for the restaurant, which is owned and operated by Richard DeShantz Restaurant Group, was announced in Sept. 2020.

In social media posts made by Bakery Square, it says that the new location will be serving a mix of dishes served at the original location downtown, as well as some new offerings. Some of the new additions will include buildable taco bowls and rotisserie chicken tacos.
