Next window for PA small businesses to apply for state’s $225M Covid-19 assistance program opens Aug. 10

PITTSBURGH — The second application window for the $225 million Covid-19 Relief Pennsylvania Statewide Small Business Assistance program opens on Aug. 10 and closes Aug. 28.

The program supports small businesses impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic and related restrictions, such as the business closure order the commonwealth put in place in mid-March, by providing grants ranging from $5,000 to $50,000 which are distributed by Community Development Financial Institutions. Gov. Tom Wolf and the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development announced the initiative, funded by the CARES Act, two months ago.
