PITTSBURGH — The Pennsylvania Lottery generated $1.14 billion during its 2019-2020 fiscal year in funds that will directly benefit the commonwealth's senior citizens. It marks the ninth consecutive year it brought in more than $1 billion worth of these funds.
“Although we faced many challenges this fiscal year, we are thrilled the Lottery had another successful year in which we generated over $1 billion in profit for the vital programs that older Pennsylvanians rely on throughout the commonwealth,” Pennsylvania Lottery Executive Director Drew Svitko said in a press release. “The support of our players, our business partners and the entire Lottery team made this possible.”
