Pennsylvania ranks among states with best access to health care, new study finds

PITTSBURGH — Pennsylvania has ranked among the states with the best access to health care according to a new study from QuoteWizard, an insurance comparison platform from LendingTree, which analyzed data from the Kaiser Family Foundation.

According to QuoteWizard, Pennsylvania ranks as the 22nd best state in the country overall when taking into account a composite score of the four factors that the company analyzed, which includes the number of adults without a personal doctor, the number of children who have a medical home, the number of adults with an unmet need for mental health treatment and the number of adults who haven’t seen a doctor due to associated costs.
