The University of Pittsburgh and UPMC are further coordinating efforts on COVID-19 clinical trials and research.

A letter to colleagues on the University of Pittsburgh’s website from several top Pitt and UPMC leaders said the Clinical and Translational Science Institute will be tapped to coordinate the resources of the two institutions, as well as both research and laboratory capabilities. The institute will bring together research protocol for human subjects in clinical trials, electronic health records, biosamples and whatever else is needed. That also includes a description of each research proposal.
