Pittsburgh Regional Transit officials provide updates on Bus Rapid Transit between downtown, Oakland

PITTSBURGH — Officials with Pittsburgh Regional Transit (PRT) — formerly the Port Authority of Allegheny County — shared updates on its soon-to-be-constructed Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) initiative that is aiming to better connect the neighborhoods between downtown and Oakland.

PRT joined officials with the City of Pittsburgh and eight registered community organizations — Hill CDC, Hill District Collaborative, Hill District Consensus Group, Oakcliffe Community Organization, Oakland Business Improvement District, Oakland Planning & Development Corp., Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership and Uptown Partners of Pittsburgh — during a Development Activities Meeting on Monday that spanned just shy of two hours when including a public commenting period.
