rue21 to add Plus offerings to more stores

rue21, a fast fashion retailer based in the Pittsburgh suburb of Warrendale, announced Tuesday that it would increase the number of stores offering its Plus line of clothing.

The retailer has rapidly increased the number of stores offering plus size clothing over the past year, a continuation of a trend that was first announced back in 2014. Tuesday’s announcement named 61 stores that would begin selling plus sizes in the first quarter of 2020, which would bring the total number of stores with Plus to 318 by the end of the first quarter. Most of the locations announced on Tuesday were located in Texas, although the 61 stores are located around the country. rue21 currently operates 690 stores in 45 states.
