Several Pittsburgh names make list of ‘most responsible companies’

PITTSBURGH — On Tuesday, New York City-based weekly news magazine, Newsweek, released its third annual list of most responsible companies for the year 2022.

The list is made up of 500 public companies across industries that the publication deemed as “taking their environmental and social responsibilities” seriously, and that overall, are valuable members of their communities. Newsweek partners with data firm Statista to compile the list, which it ranks using a combination of environmental scores, social scores and corporate governance scores.

Eleven public companies in the Pittsburgh area made the list. Here they are, along with their overall ranking, industry ranking and their scores:

Dick’s Sporting Goods (NYSE: DKS)
