Video game coaching startup Metafy acquires British-based competitor GamersRdy

PITTSBURGH — Metafy, a Pittsburgh-based startup that provides one-on-one video game coaching for players, announced it acquired a British-based competitor called GamersRdy.

As part of the acquisition, Metafy will add more than 100 coaches from GamersRdy’s platform, a move that will allow the company to expand its live-learning content offerings to players who are members of the platform. Before the acquisition, GamersRdy had 20,000 active users since its 2018 launch.
