Busy Oakland road closed while crews work on sewer line; Traffic delays reported

PITTSBURGH — Commuters who go through Oakland should expect delays Friday as work begins on an 18-inch sewer line.

The repairs are being made on Baum Boulevard at the intersection of Melwood Avenue.

Baum Boulevard will be closed from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. while Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority crews do work on the line.

Traffic will be restricted to one lane going toward Oakland from Melwood Avenue. Detour signs have been posted.

Street parking is also prohibited in the area.
