Channel 11 pizza robbery story prompts woman to share story about husband killed on job

PITTSBURGH — A woman whose husband was murdered on the job talked to Channel 11 on Wednesday.

Eight years later, Lydia Williams said she still doesn't know who shot and killed her husband while he was delivering a pizza to a home in Braddock.

"I gave him a kiss.  I told him I loved him and a half hour later, he was shot," said Williams.

Williams said her husband, Chris, worked the delivery job to help pay for their wedding.

They had known each other for five years but were only married for three months before he was killed.

"He was a great man and a great father.  He would give you the shirt off his back," said Williams.

Police believe the shooter took $20 that was in his hand.

Williams said she saw Channel 11's story about a rash of pizza delivery robberies on Tuesday.  She wants to make sure other drivers take precautions.
