• Flames blocking doorway traps family inside Carnegie home


    CARNEGIE, Pa. - Crews battled a two-alarm fire that started in a detached garage and quickly spread, trapping a family inside a home.

    Three people, including a 3-month-old baby were inside the Darlington Road home when flames broke out in the garage around 9:15 p.m. Saturday.

    Flames from the garage blocked the front doorway keeping the mother, grandmother and infant inside until crews arrived.

    No injuries have been reported.

    The cause of the fire is being investigated.
