Crews work to repair water main break near Pittsburgh elementary school

PITTSBURGH — A water main break in the Hill District Tuesday morning happened near a Pittsburgh elementary school, but crews said it will likely not affect the day.

Crews said the break happened near on Reed Street around 3 a.m.  Channel 11’s Brandon Hudson reported that Weil Elementary School is nearby.

The water company said the break should be repaired and will likely not impact the school.

Pittsburgh Public Schools spokeswoman Ebony Pugh said the school day will not be affected.
