Millvale warehouse destroyed by flames; Owner vows to rebuild

A business owner is vowing to rebuild after fire gutted his Millvale warehouse Thursday.

MILLVALE, Pa. — Chopper 11 flew over the scene at Sears Carpet and Upholstery business, showing smoke billowing from the building.

A WPXI-TV news crews at the scene reported hearing popping sounds and small explosions. Firefighters said those noises were caused by tires on vans inside the building bursting from the heat.

The owner, Greg Heibert, said he’s grateful nobody was hurt.

“You have got to have faith in something. I mean, it’s a fire. People are going to come together,” Heibert said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The same building was badly damaged by flood waters back in 2004.
