Family of bar shooting victim offers reward

PITTSBURGH — The family of a man shot at a Spring Hill bar last week is offering a $1,500 reward for information leading to an arrest.

The shooting happened at Parrott's Pub on Spring Garden Avenue last week.

According to police, the gunman was attempting to rob the bar when a customer, playing pool, stood up and tried to fight the robber.  That customer was shot in the chest, police said.

"This is a small knit community.  Everybody knows everybody, and everybody is trying to find out who did this," said Troy Hill resident Bob Spehar.

Police are asking everyone to be on the lookout for a dark-blue, older model Buick with a square back window and loud muffler.

The victim, 21, remains in critical condition.
