Officials with the Charleroi Fire Department said Monday evening, they were called to the crash where a car had gone through a garage. Crews were quickly split into teams taking the lead on patient care, stabilizing the damaged home and dealing with any potential hazards and utility issues.

Emergency officials requested a landing zone be set up on a nearby baseball field as well. Eventually, the car was able to be pulled out of the garage and towed away.

Fire chief Robert Whiten Jr. said one person was airlifted to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

It is unclear if any of the people who left the scene after the wreck will be facing charges.
