Florida boy trying to give every police officer a donut

EUGENE, Ore. — An 8-year-old is on a cross-country journey to thank police officers.

Tyler Carach is from Florida, but was in Springfield, Oregon on Friday.

It's all part of a movement he started on Facebook called "

He's on a mission to bring donuts to every police officer in America. The trip was made possible by some radio show hosts in Eugene who wanted to support his mission.

Tyler says he hopes to be a police officer himself someday and in the meantime he just wants "to inspire others to thank cops for their service and protection."
