• Gas line break prompts evacuations in Green Tree


    GREEN TREE, Pa. - Construction crews working in Green Tree Tuesday hit a gas line, prompting evacuations at many businesses.

    The break happened in the 2300 block of Noblestown Road around 9 a.m.

    Equitable Gas crews were called to the area to repair the break, and several nearby businesses were evacuated as a precaution.

    No injuries were reported.

    Noblestown Road was shut down between Poplar and School streets, but has since reopened.
