Ho, ho, ho: Santa makes virtual stop at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh — Patients and families at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC had a special visitor Wednesday.

Thanks to a virtual program, Santa Claus made his way around the hospital to spread holiday cheer.

Patients had the chance to let him know the gifts on their wish lists this holiday season and received a special surprise gift as well.

The interactive experience used a mobile cart to help Santa travel room-to-room and communicate over a monitor for the bedside visits.
