Home invasion victim pistol-whipped, shot in Brentwood

PITTSBURGH — A victim of a home invasion and robbery Saturday night in Brentwood was pistol-whipped and shot, authorities said.

Police said two men wearing dark clothing and masks kicked in the back door of a home in the 3900 block of Meadowbrook Boulevard shortly after 10:30 p.m.

Two men were inside the home at the time, one of whom was pistol-whipped in the head and shot once in the arm, police said.

The father of the man who was shot confronted the robbers before they fled with an undetermined amount of cash, police said.
