Homicide suspect who claimed it was his twin convicted

GREENSBURG, Pa. — A man who claimed his twin was the shooter in a 2017 killing in Jeannette was found guilty by a jury.

According to our partners at TribLive.com, Darrelle Tolbert-McGhee, 30, was convicted by a 12-member jury at the Westmoreland County Courthouse Friday afternoon. The jury found him guilty of first-degree murder.

Tolbert-McGhee was charged with criminal homicide in the death of 32-year-old Michael Wilson, of West Mifflin, who was shot and killed in front of a Dollar General. Tolbert-McGhee claimed he was in Florida at the time of the murder.

A first-degree murder charge carries a maximum sentence of life in prison. The defense attorney said he was planning to appeal to the Superior Court.
