PITTSBURGH — Kraft Heinz Company has decided not to make a splashy Super Bowl commercial this year and is giving all its salaried workers Monday after the game as a vacation day instead.
The company made a promotional video as part of its campaign to make the Monday after the Super Bowl a national holiday.
Calling the proposed holiday "Smunday," the company has started
. If more than 100,000 people sign the Smunday petition, it will be delivered to Congress.
A Kraft Heinz Company spokesperson said thousands of employees will get to enjoy the day off, but its factories will still be operating on Monday.
