Husband of woman shot while watching television shares safety concerns

STOWE TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A Stowe Township woman is back home after being shot while watching television inside her home, and on Wednesday, her husband shared his safety concerns with police.

"Anyone can be a victim," said Larry Johnston.

Larry Johnston and his wife, Mary Johnston, were sitting in their living room watching television in May when bullets tore through the home.

Oneal Olive, 21 was arrested and charged, but many residents' sense of security was shattered.  At Wednesday's meeting, Larry

Johnston and his neighbors expressed their concerns.

"I know them personally.  Very genuine people.  It really hit home," said Allegheny County Housing Authorities Chief Mike Vogel.

Larry Johnston said his wife has a long road to recovery.  She is blind in one eye and has undergone several surgeries.
