Local woman celebrates her 105th birthday

APOLLO, Pa. — A local woman is celebrating a birthday milestone by turning 105 years old!

Officials with Quality Life Services in Apollo told Channel 11 Irene Shremshock was celebrating her birthday Monday.

Shremshock, from Leechburg, Pennsylvania, was married to her husband, Stephen, for 49 years before he died in 2003. The couple did not have any children. She worked as a secretary for PPG and was a lifetime member of St. Mary’s Parish in New Kensington.

Shremshock has been at Quality Life Services since 2015 along with her sister. The facility said her sister is also 103 years old.
