• 1 person hurt in early-morning Swissvale shooting


    SWISSVALE, Pa. - Police said one person was hurt in an early morning shooting in Swissvale.

    According to investigators, the shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. near the intersection of Columbia Avenue and Cannon Street.

    Initial reports indicate that the victim was shot in the arm. He or she was taken to an area hospital to be treated. The victim’s name and condition have not been released.

    So far, there is no word on any arrests.
